The History of Chissy's

Chissy's Old Fashioned is a legend and is known through out the area as one of the best! The reason why? They are still hand muddled the "Old Fashioned" way. The way it was meant to be. Since 1975 when Darrell & Cindy Ringel purchased the pub, named for it's previous owner Harold E. Chisolm, "Chissy", they've carried on the tradition.

In 1985 Chissy's began to expand adding a menu of popular sandwiches and dinners to go along with their already legendary beverages. It was an immediate success!

The people at Chissy's are not ones to settle for second best. So in 1990 a larger kitchen was added, a second dining room, and a banquet facility. These were all added with you, the customer, in mind. We hope that you will stop in and enjoy them. We have continued to make changes over the last 30 years adding popular buffets, brunches and many other menu items.

We continue to focus on the future as an opportunity to improve. We use U.S.D.A. choice beef for our Tenderloin, Rib Eyes and Prime Rib. We have also added a house specialty section to our menu. These sandwiches are all made with the freshest ingredients available, right down to the fresh garlic and parsley in our Country Burger and San Diego Breast of Chicken. We haven't forgotten the little things either, even our lettuce taste better with our own homemade Honey Dijon Dressing.

So join us.... Sit back, relax, and taste some of the new and legendary flavors at Chissy's Pub & Grill

 A little history:

Chissy's, in 1975, was just a tavern. You may wonder about the three booths in the bar area. The center booth with the half circle top was the original entrance to the building. The booth areas to the left and right of that were restrooms. The original bar was smaller as well, and was literally cut in half and extensions put in to create the present day bar area. The gaming area was originally part of the residence area until making the tavern bigger and better. In 1985 the first restaurant addition went on and its grown steadily ever since.

It's fun to reminisce about all those standing room only New Years Eve parties with the balloons on the ceilings waiting to come down and those bands that played until closing time. After the second addition to the restaurant and fine tuning the menu, Chissy's took on the supper club persona, but still retains some of that original charm. Chissys has always been a true family business. Darrell and his brother Leon started the business. All of their children worked at the business and today the grand children! But we can't overlook our wonderful cooks and waitstaff, some of which have been working with us from when the restaurant first opened.

Sincerely,

Darrell & Cindy Ringel
